Samaritan Donations Welcome Again!
We are excited to be able to resume collecting donations for various local agencies in the church building. Each month we will post specific items of need.
– PAPER NAPKINS and HEAVY DUTY PAPER PLATES for the clients living in the Homeless Solution shelter. You can leave your donation in the Samaritans’ Donation Basket in the lower lobby.
Thank you for your support for our ongoing collection of gently used eyeglasses and eyeglass cases. The collection box is outside of the Main Office. We were able to make a recent donation of 103 pairs of eyeglasses, along with many cases, via the Randolph Lions Club in support of the SightFirst Program. Lions Club International’s SightFirst Program, which includes Sight for Kids as a targeted part of the overall program, aims to support the efforts of Lions, nongovernmental organizations, government agencies and others to fight the major causes of preventable and reversible blindness, and provide services to people who are blind or have a visual impairment. This mission is accomplished through the support of eye health care delivery systems, training and infrastructure development. Your donated glasses will be put to use for people living with vision impairment, whose lives will be improved immeasurably by owning glasses.
Bereavement Support is Back in Person!
As we celebrated our first In Church Bereavement Support Group meeting since April 2020 this past Sunday, it was so apparent that all were grateful to be together again! Those in Jesus’ time who followed Him with a hunger for His teachings were changed by that encounter. When we center ourselves in prayer, ask His guidance, listen to Him and share with one another our bereavement journey, it is that common ground that allows us to enjoy a new perspective. Through God in Jesus, we experience His faithful love, His words of wisdom and His enduring presence in our lives. When we gather, pray and share together, there is always something good that stays with us and we are changed.
Our next meeting is Sunday, July 11,2021, from 12:30-2:30pm in the Resource Room of the Parish.
Happy Father’s Day to all fathers! God’s blessings on all.
